preparing for the Design commission show, 2/2

while i'm still restricted by the narrow width of display space (about 10.5 in. wide), and about 12 ft. in length, i think i'm going to use these parameters to make a more interesting, less linear form. i've structured a dense core, which builds on itself and up; i'd like to get even more height so it's crawling up the wall. i can still get a fair amount of overhang, too. from the core the loops will spread out into the more spacious, linear structures that i had in the cca show. (i wish i could draw!)

i guess from there i should figure out some type sections, based on what i've done before, and on this new core structure. i think they need to be fewer and more striking, too. some ideas:

* some of the phrases i came up with in my sticker studies
"i was waiting and waiting. for what i don't recall."
"hell/n/o"
" my father his heart / me mine / broken / then sewed."
"you look lost. yes."

* draping to see how lines of type would *really* fall;
* running paper through printer 2-3 times w/diff. orientations so it begins to layer and intersect.
